David Dwyer – Managing Director
David Dwyer has 30 years of engineering and project management experience, predominantly managing major onshore and offshore construction projects. During this time he has worked for the Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Mining, Power and Gas industries on projects ranging in size from 500,000 to 7,000,000 man-hours.
David has owned and operated successful engineering and construction companies in Australia, and has undertaken studies in Construction Law. As the Proprietor and Managing Director of Engineering and Construction Companies, David’s clients included FMC, BHP, Woodside and Alcoa among others. In addition to Engineering he also holds qualifications as a Quality Systems Auditor, Audit Team Leader, Safety Manager, Welding Supervisor and Welding Inspector (to Australian Standards).
David’s expertise includes a thorough understanding of project management principles and extensive experience managing subcontractors (of all disciplines) within Australia and Asia.
In his 11 years working throughout Asia, David oversaw the construction and management of purpose-built fabrication facilities in Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Borneo and Vietnam. He also overhauled and consolidated existing subcontractor facilities. To ensure that all work met International Standards, David implemented effective Quality Systems and Procedures in these facilities. His clients have included Dupont, British Petroleum, Dow Chemicals, Merk Sharp & Dome, Sheering Plough, Shell, Exxon Mobil and Unocal Geothermal.
